
The Organ
History
1818 – The first organ, a barrel organ with 10 tunes, was located in East Gallery
1823 – The second organ was first installed in the East Gallery before being moved to a raised plinth in the North Transept in 1856.
1887 – The third organ was build by Worsworth & Maskell in Leeds
1948 – The organ was rebuilt as a two manual by Rushworth & Dreaper, Liverpool.
1971 - The organ was altered again by Walkers of London.
